HTC Titan all up in the FCC's business
The existence of HTC's follow up to the venerable Apache comes as a surprise to no one; after all, we've seeing it time and time again. Still, there's some sort of wave of reassurance that washes over us when we see a promised new handset get two thumbs-up from our boys and girls at the Fed. Still no word on exactly when we'll see the device materialize -- which is expected on Sprint and Verizon alike as the PPC6800 and XV6800, respectively -- but this filing should at least clear the path for both carriers to hold to their roadmaps; with EV-DO Rev. A, Bluetooth 2.0, and beefed-up internal storage all in the cards, those roadmaps really can't come quickly enough.

i don't know if we knew this already, but i checked the wifi test, and it very clearly mentions that it has 802.11g wifi at 54 Mbps! :)
my biggest question is if it has a scroll wheel like the 8525, that is way better than the slide thing the apache has
also, some of those papers are dated sepember, which means it's been in testing for a while, hopefully it will be released soon! :)

Its at the FCC's door that means this bad boy will be in my hands shortly. Ahh the TyTan finally, when will HTC styop making CDMA'ers wait so long for the new device?

I was just at a Verizon store the other day, where one of the reps claimed it had a release coming at the end of March, real quick like!

do we know if sprint has "fixed" the 6800 so you can not use it as a modem for your laptop? should I grab a 6700 while I still can?

I'm a expat Yank living in Europe and have had the TyTn running Windows 5 for the past two months and love the beast. I had bought the Treo 600 a few years ago and never could get it to work on this side of the pond and it ended up in my drawer. This one works, I set up an external GPS with it with iGo software and it does just about everything I need it to do. I love the Windows Mobile push email feature and now am in touch with everyone everywhere. The only thing that HTC needs in it's devices is a built in GPS but I think that is either coming very soon or is out at least here in Europe.

how long does it usually take for a product to release after the fcc approves it? like in this case.
i need to replace my xv6600 soon, but verizon has crap for pda phones.

i just went to my local sprint store to buy a ppc 6700 and they told me they dont have it anymore cause sprint recalled them all (so they can have phones just in case to replace the current 6700 out there) cause the 6800 its on its way, i think he say like 3weeks to a month, but he did told me not to hold my breath, cause thinks could change.

I know it's not even out yet, but when do you think the Kaiser will replace the Titan in the US on Verizon?
